The original
Region V was Chartered in February 1964 and encompasssed the 14
Southeastern United States including AL, AR, FL, GA, KS,
LA, MS, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WV and initially included
Mexico and
Puerto Rico. Over the years the Region was divided into
sub-zones and finally Zones.
Florida
initially was a sub-zone and with a Region restructuring in 1984
became Tropic Zone 6.
